Re: Dreams Deferred

I'm actually kind of bummed. I haven't hadn't any of this "THUNDERDOME" stuff happen to me. It's just the same old game as normal. Which I guess is fine, was just expecting a bit of a shake up.

Believe you're right, but don't believe you can't be wrong.

Re: Dreams Deferred

I've only had one incident thus far. So not too bad.

Re: Dreams Deferred

Kudos for being one of those rare people who likes constructive criticism.

Yeah, there are pros and cons to the apocalypse.  If I'd been aware of the group working on the last one, I probably would have come out pro-apocalypse, even though I like finding old towns.

It turns out the swords are a great sign that I don't want to live in that town.  I was gifted a backpack with one as a baby, and suicided in my twenties becuase the town was becoming an "adolfo" cult.  That's the only town I've seen more than one sword in.

In other news, I find it ridiculous that Jason is calling his genocide update the "come together" update, and am a fan of your post on the difference between stress and excitement.

I aim to leave behind a world that is easier for people to live in that it was before I got there.

I was in a town where a builder was frustrated because someone kept making swords.
It's a way to grief. It doesn't necessarily mean that it's a bloodthirsty town.
I'd encourage you to stay even if there are swords around.

Re: Dreams Deferred

Another thing I'd love to see:

A berry picker!

Compost. Poop. The new clothing. I dream of not having to pick berries one by one.

Re: Dreams Deferred

I don’t get how lucky you guys are— or how unlucky I am.

You guys say you’ve rarely been raided. Every other life of mine an outsider massacres us and I’m either too young to defend myself or they hoarded all the weapons.

The curse fix just made this update’s impact a lot more brutal.

I don’t talk in-game unless it’s dire.

Re: Dreams Deferred

Oblong. I had a string of lives where I kept getting murdered. I've been lucky since the update... and I don't expect it to magically last. Anyway it suck that you have to deal with all that. Not good at all!
