There should be a system, where you can warn about other people, either from griefers or just plain jerks.
You would say: "Warn about John Doe", where if 2-4 people warn about them, then you would see their name in red, showing a potentially dangerous person, but of course, it's just an indication of a person you should be careful around.
You can judge your self on, is the person innocent or dangerous, but it can help you remember the person.

I honestly have problems keeping up with names. So, it would be better if that person's name came up in a different color, perhaps an increasingly bright shade of red based on the number of warnings. And if this happens let babys do it too they have no power. If your mom wants to stab you there is nothing you can do about it.

The more brighter becomes is a great idea! But we need to make limit on how bright it can get, cuz a really hated person will have a white name then

The same type of idea could be good for non family members if the can't curse outside of family thing is implemented. It will be hard to tell if someone is not from your family because we all shares the same character sprites if their name was purple or something like that we could easily tell family from strangers.

Just need some shouting in game. /shout then say what you gotta say.
There's not really a need for a cooldown, since it'll be a pain to write /shout every time

I think the color thing would be good for curses, too. Have names start at the neutral white and then change color with the number of curses. White for 0 - 5, black for 5 - 10, red for 10 - 20 etc.
It'd make deciding which baby to keep and which to toss much easier.

White name? The names you see in OHOL from bottom screen are black, not white.
Black should be default name, but if they begin to gain infame, it should be colored dark red.
The brighter the red goes, the easier it is to tell that the person is up to no good.
After about 10 so called infame has increased, it would become purple, and it would not change up until the 10+ infame has began to drop down during gameplay below 9.
But then again. Why would we need these warning things? We already have a curse system. Those players who are in donkey town are still people. I don't see this very humanly ideal especially for such casual game. It's nothing too serious, and besides this warning thing would only make people go more idler doing what they want.
In that case, no need of warnings, as long as you're socially active in stress simulation as OHOL and aware of surroundings, you should be solid.
We don't need tools for people's convenience of being lazy. You should know your family well, I mean that's what real life is as well. You don't simply systematically warn others about your sister who just happened to steal your favourite toy teddy.
If you ever enter Pea (Helkama turns into random name) family, you need the lottery ticket picked up. My baby names given can be absolutely random.
"Are you fueled with peasoup or why you keep running off from temperature tile?"

Half the time, I don't even look at people's names unless I really need to know and I feel like most people wouldn't even notice. Mostly, it'd be helpful in situations when people stab greifers and you gotta figure out who to let die.In that case, no need of warnings, as long as you're socially active in stress simulation as OHOL and aware of surroundings, you should be solid.

Ahhhh it's been a day or so since I played and I've already forgotten name colors, my bad on there
I just like the suggestion because of the issues I've been hearing about Donkey Town, folks are getting stuck in Eve hell for hours on end. The name color changing wouldn't change anything about the gameplay and would be the same as somehow meeting a cursed player and seeing the color of their speech bubble, they'd still have to play chill for however many hours is required. Just, the cursed would be allowed to play with other people.
And imagine
Somebody names their new kids and the name comes out bright red
They know this kid might cause problems
Do they
a) leave the kid be and give them a chance with the villagers, maybe they'll be a good citizen
b) dump them in the forest and let them starve, they'll have to get their hours in with some other mom's good graces
or c) put them in a fence "jail" built specifically for these players, to be killed in front of others or gawked at

Don't like the idea of giving colored text to babies. It leads to nothing good. If a formerly cursed person isn't in donkey town anymore they did their time, and should be able to start over and be constructive... or not.
I was thinking of this as basically a kind of free pre-curse system, where babies could participate and if enough people are noticing annoying things then it might be time to take some action. I don't know it might be too fiddly.

I thought this was one life, not baggage from other lives (like babies having to carry stuff from previous life is just plain NO). For color gained through lifetime well why not. The griefing players usually pose no real threat and do it b/c are not able to play well. Not even as well as I, a newbie am.
A capable griefer is able whatever the town/city has, to a certain extent IF no care is taken. Why not take steps to stop griefing from being succesful if worried ? I often do. Eve/small town grief is just stupid proving their incapability, not "evetowniers". If I ever grieved I'd either help in near-evetowns or just /die immediately...

Nah, not colored text. Just a colored name, and this solution would only really be needed if Donkey Town was done away with entirely. This would only apply to people currently cursed.
Nobody has to "do time" if colored names (not spoken text!) are added for super cursed players, they just have to live with a differently colored name while they play like normal with everyone else, at least until their personal curse timer runs out and their name changes back to normal. It could take them several lives for that to happen, assuming they stay good.
Like putting a dunce cap on troublesome students.
