Now if someone doesn't wanna date me in OHOL I can just eat spoon after spoon of ice cream
Also spoons. Those too. But to be honest, how were we eating soup before if spoons are just now being implemented?

sadly we didn't get beat roots first....  if you didn't know you can make sugar out the juice of beat roots.

Hoping it's a baking update week but I believe Jason is just doing the cold food hot food idea someone brought up not too long ago. Eating ice cream chills you about the same as holding a small snowball and just holding a bowl of ice cream is the same as holding a medium snowball iirc. It'll be an okay food for treating yellow fever victims or freezing babies to death lel.

Will ice cream be good? No, not really considering you can only ever get one bowl per bucket of milk and the extra work to convert it to ice cream over butter only nets a total of eight extra pips. Ice cream can probably be a bit better as it's just going to be a byproduct of making skim milk and since you can't recycle spoons we're likely to see a lot of wasted steel this week.

Ice cream will provide pips and provide yum.  It seems like enough pips to offset the heat loss at 10 raw pips *absent yum*, unless very young or old.  It will probably come as yummy since it doesn't seem likely to get eaten in bulk, so it's probably more in the range of 11-30 bars of time depending on when it gets eaten, how much yum a person has, how old that person is, and so on.   So, it will be good, as all foods (except possibly the mushroom) already are.

Will it make sense to make ice cream before buttered bread?  I'm not seeing that.  It's probably better to make buttered bread and only start making ice cream when your settlement has plenty of buttered bread.  Also, an ice cream pot is another crock pot, which comes as two more clay that someone needs to get, combine, and fire.  Ice cream also comes as one of the most complex, if not the most complex foods to make.  So, really, I would consider ice cream a late game food.

If ice cream didn't consume a whole bowl of cream as it looks like it will, then it might work out better getting made earlier than it seems like where it should go right now.

If someone eats buttered bread and then ice cream, this isn't likely to hold.  It's probably more pips with a large group doing that.  But, that does assume that people eat buttered bread in the first place.

Fascinating, so I'm assuming the benefit of this is to be able to use the crock without the need to use up kindling for a fire?
