VSync Issues

Basically, when I first launched the game, it didn't detect that vsync was on. So I went to my nvidia control panel to turn it on and it still didn't detect it. I tried restarting my laptop, restarting the game, etc. and I still get the same issue. I even went to the control panel and set it to have vsync on specifically for 1H1L and it still won't detect it. This makes playing the game hurt my eyes due to the screen tearing. Is there any fix for this?

Laptop is as follows:

i7 processor
12GB ram
Nvidia GEForce 940mx

Game detects 900+ max fps
