This happens when the server gets all messed up. We had cases of children being killed by dead children, fathers, and generation mismatches. Fun stuff.

yeah the An family is currently having this problem as well, i show as 3rd generation but my "grandma" first gen died 21 hours ago...my kids show as "distant relative"

im havng same issues all my children are being shown when i click on them to be the children of some guy who died 4 days ago named Rose Fire II which is a male

Weirdly they actually get marked as a father even though they were never in the game. Perhaps Jason had planned to add dads but scrapped it later.
