When players suicide because they think their mom is an Eve...

And there's a giant big ass town just south of them, and the mom was foraging.

Well also running away from eve is annoying. If you see that the eve got no girl and you are a girl please stay. So annoying if you got an OP spot but all run away.

I know right! Happened to me several times recently. I just want to save them from the lineage ban!

Besides if they have in fact spawned to an eve, then they've probably used up all bigger towns with more birthing opportunities, so no point in suicide really.

I hate it when that happens!

One of the most interesting and challenging thing about this game is learning to rely on each other.

I always joke to my kids that do stay that I must be a butt ugly woman, and they are just blinded by love.

I never understood why player hates being part of a new settlement

Most of my best loves have been in gen 2-5...

The feeling when you are the first one to bring the ingredients for stew
The feeling when you are the first one to create stew
The feeling when you are the first one to smith an axe

Why do people seek bigger towns?

Their loss.

Happened to me yesterday. Kid said “B / Y / E” and took off in the direction of the town. Once he got there he just kept walking around, but I think he knew that I wasn’t going to feed him after that. The way he moved around told me he was saying “damn” IRL.

I had a lot of fun teaching an Eve.  I guess you have to be in the right mood?  I suppose the high fatality percentage of an Eve camp might be too frustrating for some.

I don't mind being an Eve's child, most of the time...

Re: When players suicide because they think their mom is an Eve...

There are only so many Eve camps I am willing to work in, in a row.

If I just lived in a big city, or I am in the mood for it, I will stick around an Eve camp and start from scratch.

But, if I have just died of old age after working in an Eve camp, I am not interested in doing it again (i.e., repeating the life I literally just lived).  It gets monotonous and boring.  I want to explore the new developments.  I want to learn more advanced things.  I am not interested in trying to start from nothing all over again.

Yeah, I see your point.

Breaks can be a good thing.  I took a few weeks off, only to be amazed at all the new foods.

Because they log in to try out a new thing. Some people are just bored of eveing. Why should they stay? To care more about your entertainment than theirs? Please

Solution would be spawn options. But it's not gonna happen quickly smile Therefore, they and you must waste a time, until a proper spawn occurs.

The original point of this thread is, there is a giant town just south, and the mother just happened to be out of town.

I mean, it’s their loss for being impulsive. It’s frustrating, but they won’t get to play in the big city for three hours just because they were born to you, who didn’t get Granny’s backpack and clothes, outside of town.

They’re just screwing themselves over if that’s their motive. But when you need a girl and the girl suicides, it’s especially frustrating.

With spawn option "next to a city", they will not suicide. They will search for it.
