i really did intend to suicide when i saw i was born a boy (yet again). but my mother picked me up and exclaimed, "my only child! you are alexander. it is a strong name" and i knew that i could not leave her yet.
she took me to the rabbit fields, promising a good life. i grew in the wild, hunting for rabbits while mother searched for milkweed to make clothes for me.
by the time she gathered enough i was a grown man, sporting a full mustache. she made me a set of clothes and a bag, i was only missing a single shoe. she looked upon her handiwork with pride and i put on the clothes gratefully. i thanked her, saying, "my dick is finally covered"
mother's back was hunched, but her eyes were still filled with so much life. "i will set you up with a good life." she had promised. and she did. i loved every second of my time in the wilderness, reveling in the freedom the rabbits afforded me.
"let us return home" she called. and i followed.
we trekked past and endless plane of desert, finally reaching the green grass. and she collapsed.
"mother!" i cried. there was nothing that could help her. she passed only a few miles from home.
i wandered back in the direction of the camp i was born in. many years had passed since we left and my memory was hazy. the years spent searching for home blurred into one continuous nightmare. then it entered my vision, the bones of my cousin. i dashed around wildly, there had to be a camp nearby. then a boy! he was holding a basket. i followed him south and found home!
"my mother is dead" i announced as i entered the village. but nobody even blinked. they had forgotten her, and i was a stranger.
i spent the next few years bringing back my mother's clothes and basket. then finally her bones. i buried her next to the rest of the family.
blending in was easy. grab a basket, put dirt on berries, water them. a woman was trying to build a berry farm near the ponds so i helped her by bringing back some more berries. i could almost cope with my mother's loss. but the years caught up with me. my hair grayed and my hunger dropped. i saw a small girl, Bridger, and called out to her
"bridg, when you are older will you give me your first son? i wish to teach him of the rabbits, the way my mother did with me"
she agreed and went back to work. with the future assured i returned to the farm. time passed peacefully. the next thing i knew, i was down 6 hunger.
i looked for bridger once more. "bridg, im afraid i will not live to see your son. tell him to go east for the rabbits." and she promised she would
so i resumed wandering about town, looking for a good heir to leave my clothes to. they were special to me, the last things made by my mother. i wanted to pass them to someone wise. i called to my cousins but they did not stop. nobody had time for a senile, dying stranger.
resigned to my fate of dying alone i headed on to the graveyard, but then i saw her! bridger, holding a newborn baby boy!
the joy i felt can not be contained in a few simple words!
she lifted him to me, exclaiming, "i have a son. i named him after you, alex"
"thank you! my mother named me alexander. she said its a strong name."
one of my cousins, ariel (?) lifted the boy excitedly as i waited to hand him my clothes. and i told him of the rabbits to the east, of my mother who taught me the way. and entrusted the future of our town to him. he was still so young, yet he listened attentively, and i knew he would be special
holding back tears, i thanked bridger for bringing me her son and allowing me to pass on my mother's wisdom before going to die by her grave. i hope she would be proud

Hi dad it's me Bridge. http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … &id=303941
It was great to be part of your story. I buried you and mom together with matching uncle and mother tombstones. The sons I named after you did so well. I'm proud to be a part of this family.
