I like it, only I want a big old metal cauldron to put over the hot coals. It would be cool if some items could give boosts, like warming you for a while if you ate it.

Very cool idea! In regards to the cauldron, how would that be crafted?
Maybe involving wrought iron or steel ingots and a bowl...?

That makes sense, might be cool to make plaster cast since plaster is only used for cistern iir.
Doing metal casting if probably something that would eventually have to make it into the game. Maybe a cauldron
or other advanced cooking equipment could involve things like that?
I think soup is too cool to wait that long. You can make a wooden bowl with a butt log charcoal and a firebrand perhaps?
I don't really know what a good way to make a cauldron is.. I think having a next tier of smithing that isn't hammer
and flat rock based would be cool.
Some ways to get more steel out of the same iron would also be nifty, obviously it would have to require the basic lvl
to make its compements. No one is gonna build a robot laser guard with a smithing hammer and big ole flat rock
