ive been thinking about this userbase and how ppl are so quick to get mad at one another. i think a lot of that has to do w/ ppl who dont read the forums or discord and dont know about the changes at launch, as well as players who expect everyone else to know abt the changes. i think a quick solution is to have a update notification at launch
ex. worms no longer being used to compost could've had a notification like
"hi guys, jason here. i made a cool new update- instead of adding worms to the compost pile you now need to use sheep dung. have fun gathering sheep! until next week~"
something quick like that would save a lot of people from being shot for accidentally breaking a rule that didnt exist before the update. it also gives a hint for what the player should do next without giving away all of it
this is most important for people who dont speak english. i know theres a section of the userbase that dont speak english well, especially the internet slang we use in game. if they had a small notification in the beginning they could at least have the opportunity to look up a google translated version of that message to get the gist
(i know some of u r gonna b like "oh then they should just speak english"- thats just unrealistic. this is to save you from headache as much as the other players.
others will probably be like "then they should read forums" - also unrealistic. some ppl just wanna play a cool game n dont care abt the meta)
