Home Marker Glitch?

I'm not sure what happened but I was just born to a small camp. I didn't realize until rewatching the play through but a minute or so after I was born the homeslip popped up indicating that my home was southwest. So the first time I left camp to look for something I attempted to follow my home marker but ended up hopelessly lost.

When I realized I'd not likely find my actual home again i decided to follow it and see where it ended but I died before I ever reached it.

I think when a monument bell is rung it gets set as the home marker for everyone on the server that doesn't have one set already.

I just had it happen again and I believe you are correct. Guess I better be sure to set a home marker even if I am born in town.
