Omg I would love a bustling town around the tutorial area.

I imagine people standing outside the wall and cheering for the new player. Maybe we could even help him make the axe by teaching from the outside.

But yeah, first we need to find the area again and start a town^^

Could you hear the chimes when you neared the tutorial stones?

I found you in the logs...

I dont think so, but I did not really pay much attention since i was that suprised.

jasonrohrer wrote:

Aha!

Any chance you stuck around in the tutorial until you died of old age?

If you did, your next-spawn-as-eve location would be set to that spot.

No, when I did the tutorial, I ran right to the end made the axe and died. So that cant be the reason.

Well.
That was quite a different expirience,
At first I thought i pressed the "Tutorial" button, but no - my first baby popped out.
Had a few more kids, everyone was baffled what was going on.
I would have stayed, but we had no soil/water/iron inside so we decided to starve.

Jason is it possible to ban this area from Eve spawns, or maybe give us tools to escape.
What if someone builds a town around that area? Could we watch new players while they do their first steps?

Has this happened to anyone else?

I also like the bonus points, that way giving away knifes becomes save, and you dont have to gamble if the person you give it to is going to stab the next girl that comes close enough.

#81 Re: Main Forum » Does gear still get deleted when you die? » 2018-07-03 13:28:34

I think dying on a farm still deletes all gear. At least thats what I have seen.

I did not even know disconnecting deletes gear. I thought you simply become a bone pile.a

#82 Re: Main Forum » Learning how to make items, or.... building a society? » 2018-07-03 11:30:56

20 lives are not much.
A good way to learn things is by watching people doing what you want to learn. You could also ask to be someones assistant. Most of the time people will give you simple tasks, but these tasks help in the long run and show you the basics.

#83 Re: Main Forum » Learning how to make items, or.... building a society? » 2018-07-02 20:57:36

I dream of building cars in OHOL, just imagine building the engine alone^^
Oh and I would love to choose between engine types, rotary, V, inline, boxer(flat). Propably will remain a dream tho
Sorry for offtopic smile

This topic is about town trinity i think.
Both had two West familys tho

Huh, maybe it wasn't. Conveniently similar events though, if that's the case. Massive berry farm dying out, town itself starting to starve, nobody working on compost throughout.

Its probably a common occurrence though.

Trinity does not have a sister village to the west, so yeah.
But almost every town has the same problems. Well its a small playerbase so thats propably why

Was just there again. Berrys were reduced, so all should be good now

#87 Re: Main Forum » Yet another town relies to heavily on berries and kills itself » 2018-07-01 20:43:21

All those bushes were allready there when I spawned there. (twice lol)
But yeah should have let one half die, but I think the little amount of water is the bigger problem, which will kill those lineages...

To Kai West

Hello Son,

I am really sorry for what happened and how it ended.
I should have given you the pack, the moment you asked the first time. I would not have to write this then.

Please forgive me darling

WOW! this made me shed a tear, great style! Thank you for writing this!

That life was wonderfull, you were wonderfull.
I feel like I should have spent even more time with you - but I simply couldnt, sorry!

#91 Re: Main Forum » How can I get born as Eve » 2018-06-29 19:00:16

I would really like a "Eve Spawn" button, takes a long time to get banned to all lineages now, since you have to live 30 minutes.
But I don`t believe we will ever get one...

I'll try to be there wink

I really like this road, and it would be nice if people keep your way of building it / marking locations.

#93 Re: Main Forum » Does anyone actually like being an Eve/born to an Eve? » 2018-06-20 13:27:48

Love beeing Eve and watching the lineage continue.

#94 Re: Main Forum » Rhapsody West » 2018-06-19 18:32:51

I was Ben West and fucked up killing those sheep, yeah.

Spoiled?
I made that BP as Ben West and got the Knife from Sonja, who got it from me as Eve.
Thank you for helping me

#95 Re: Main Forum » Missed Connections » 2018-06-13 19:00:47

I don't know to be honest.

I think the West family died, but maybe the other family is still going strong.

http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … _id=323229
could have been that lineage, not even sure tho^^

#96 Re: Main Forum » Missed Connections » 2018-06-13 17:30:04

Aww that story touched my heart, you were a great mom and daughter!

Thank you!

#97 Re: Main Forum » I was finally a West! » 2018-06-13 14:37:12

I just spawned as Eve in the Village with your pen pein. Was looking good!

Sadly I only had one daughter and she got killed by Maria London.

This village wont last long tho, all the trees are gone... Some kids need to take some tools and move to a new spot.

New lineage: http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … _id=321631

Got smithing going while being Eve but died in gen 3, because my mother Sophia got old and did not know that she had no breastmilk left.

So no one is running out of water, ever?

I'll have to fix that.

We do run out of water, but it takes a lot of generations. And I think it is a good compromise, this way we still have to move to another location but can also build houses while we still have water.

My mother was also Panth, she fed me and then I didn't see her much. I raised several kids, most of them would barely talk to me. One of them was given a coat and a wolf hat from a relative, and she didn't even say anything! I asked: "Are you excited?" and she didn't say anything. Not a "TY".

So by the time the last child came along, a daughter, I was used to my sullen children. But this new child started talking to me! I was so excited, and she claimed to be a reincarnation of Eve West. Children have such overactive imagination! She seemed to be interested in the farm, and was a very thoughtful observant child that liked to stare at things, so I had to remind her to get back to work.

As I grew older, a young man came to me, and he said I had saved him as a child. He was quite sweet to me and made my old age more comfortable. I saw great, grandchildren. I was content.

There were no murders as there was only one knife. And it was kept safe generation to generation.

Again, thank you Eve West!

I was indeed your last child. And yes i was just staring as a kid, I wanted to see what this little place has become, and it really did grow a lot.
Went on to become the smith in my elder days, and made a few hoes, shovels and axes.

I saw the crown being passed on from the Queen you saw, to a King, and finally to one of my daughters - your granddaughter.

We had a small murderspree going on, but a few males and the king took care of that and protected us.

Thank you mom!
