Its not a glitch, it is a game mechanic.. if you die of old age as an eve you will spawn back to your home marker.

Go to your settings folder and change these 3 files:

1: Change targetFrameRate.ini to 144
2: skipFPSMeasure.ini to 1
3: countingOnVsync.ini to 0

that will allow you to bypass this issue.

Hello all,

I've seen a post recently where people have modified the game to run on higher resolutions meaning your view of the world is bigger, I was curious if any of you tech savvy people would be able to make an up to date Mod for mac as I know there is a windows version.

I have tried using a VM using the .exe version but sadly the performance lag was too horrendous to play optimally, as my computer is processing the macOS, Windows OS as well as OHOL.

Thanks in advance.

This game has been one of the most emtionally rewarding games I have ever played, it has also made me question our existence as human beings in a way I didnt think it would. The first moment it did this was when I first died of old age and I realised I will never be able to replay that moment ever again, but the journey to old age was worth it.

Buy the game, it is completely worth your money. It is not perfect, but I feel since the recent update its heading in the right direction, but the learning curve is steep so expect to be challenged.

The fact that we are all in this forum speaking about this life shows how great it actually was. Thank you guys for the memory, only in OHOL. :')

Mason! I took good care of your knife and gave it to my trusted son Michael when I died.

You literally made my day running around with your cart full of shrooms.

You were Lilly my Shroom dealer, I was Lisa! I made a forum post about this life aswell as my take on popcorn, Michael was my son.

Very good experience that village was.

First of all I will give you my opinion, then I will tell you why my opinion is the way it is.

The corn update is GREAT and well needed

Here's why:

1: The seeding process stops griefers picking the "seed row" (you use flint on dry corn to get a seed, multiple seeds per dry corn)

2: Popcorn allowed me to stop and teach people how to produce corn in the farm, seed the corn, and cook into popcorn. As it's very sustainable. It's also a great introduction to preparing recipes for food to beginners.

3: I didn't feel like I was in a mad rush all the time, and the community I was in didn't feel rushed either. One of my cousins was running around selling shrooms to everybody and we were all having a good laugh with it too. (because of popcorn)

4: It brought back the community feeling inside your village/town, because everyone was teaching everyone all the basic and advanced techniques.

Overall I think this update has done a great positive to the game and has definitely made me feel like it is heading into the right direction.. Thank you Jason, that had to have been one of my most memorable lives in this game, and meaningful ones at it to. Left that life very content.

I was Lisa 5th generation http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … _id=207593 just incase you were apart of this humbling experience.

Its just lack of basic game mechanics for most players I think (temp running, food consumption planning ahead) I dont think you are doing anything wrong. Think about how many of your children die infront of a carrot basket.

Such an interesting situation!

Actually I think it's very good situation to be born into.  Especially as as girl.  What I do is grab a basket with carrot as soon as I can and run off 1 or 2 biomes away.  I chill out near berry bushes for couple of minutes and then go back.  Overpopulation problem is already solved via natural means.  And few people that are still alive are all experienced players.  You can have super cool game from then on.  Sometimes you even take smithing lessons in Eve's camp!

Once in a while I have even one or two more people chilling out around the same bushes.  So you can have a chat and it's not boring while you wait for overpopulation problem to solve itself.

You make a good point.

The key thing for a long life is to keep a good balance between food and kids. And that's also a thing to learn.

You are 100% correct, the biggest killer in civs today isn't griefers (although majority of people in the forum will disagree). It's overpopulation, one fertile female on average spits out 7 kids, and way to many mothers keep 100% of their kids. See it all the time, an eve who hasn't even begun getting even the tools crafted to make a fire (stone axe, fire bow drill etc.) has 4 children running around eating everything in sight. When I'm born I have a quick look at the current situation of my family and if I think myself being alive is going to over populate, I go snake hugging.

I think bringing down the birth rate of one female is a must, it's been common knowledge for sometime now that population control is one of the most important factors in the game, yet I still see babies being churned out by mothers who don't know how to say no, so I think the only way to limit this is to bring down birth rates per woman, or start the birthing cycle slightly later I don't know.

I will abandon my kids and some random cousin or something will feed them, I explain to them why I was killing the child (usually lack of food, or way to many babies) and they completely snob it off and go "hello bb, ily so much"

Actually today I had a mum I was born into say "OMG more! you're the seventh one" and literally had kids running around her spamming "F", it was chaotic.. but I found a friendly snake to ease me of my upbringing.
