You sure? I admit there was as time I wanted to hack my client to show me absolute coordinates, but it doesn't work, as each client get's it's personal origin point. All coordinates are relative to that.

They're not absolute coordinates, but because the client has access to the relative coordinates of every online player and their full lineage, you can easily figure out where towns are relative to your birth location.

As far as I can see from printing PLAYER_UPDATE messages to stderr, these messages give you the exact current location of every player on your server, relative to the tile of your birth. I recommend these update messages be filtered so players only receive updates for nearby players, because the current system allows:

  • Easy identification of exact town locations (including the tutorial) relative to your current position, by clustering players

  • Approximate global coordinates: by saving your player ID across lives and looking up the lineages of other players in these distant towns, a hit in the lineage will tell you exactly where that town from your past life is relative to your current location.

  • Exact location of any living player, and their place of death once they die (e.g. griefers)

There is apparently no age at which a player will be forced to leave their mother's arms, meaning you can carry a baby well into their adult life as long as you never put them down. The only things stopping you are you getting hungry (unless other players feed you) and (eventually) the "baby" starting to become hungry at around 15 years old, when they are no longer fed by being held.

Below, you can see I managed to carry my daughter until she was around 20, with the help of my family feeding me.

#4 Bug Discussion » Game detects 900+ max fps » 2018-04-10 10:55:23

I just downloaded the game again on my windows 10 laptop with both Intel Graphics 530 and NVIDIA GTX 970M. When I start the game or manually start the fps detection, it detects something in the range of 899.9 - 900.1 FPS for some reason, and according to the log files the game ends up setting the FPS to 144. This only happens in the max fps detection - the settings consistently report my fps at ~60.
Setting target FPS to 60 seems to fix the game to the right 60 fps, but I can't enable VSYNC because the 60 target fps doesn't match my "actual" 900+ fps.

I also crash frequently when being born but I'm not sure if this is related. The game runs fine on my desktop computer.
