Ah that explains it! I have seen Jerry Springer, even own the musical on dvd they made but I'm pretty sure by my time it was all reruns, Steve and Maury
Ah sorry, sadly not! Although it does remind me of a game called Dinner Date in which you go to dinner with a man called Jerry and honestly you wanna smash him over the head with the bottle of wine.
I'm a returning player after not playing since 2018, its been a long time so current players must look at me like I'm absolute nutcase but here we go, the tale of my latest life as "Jerry"
I was born with no family name, my mother, Constance gave birth to me on the floor of the "baby" room, our town was on the decline and everyone was getting older so we really needed more babies, we had plenty of food and plenty of work but not the people. At the same time one of my distant relatives, Horizon, gave birth to another boy named Melvin, me and Melvin grew up together, worked together and tried our best to keep the place going, I decided that my best place was to maintain the graveyard since it had been awhile since anyone had collected up the bones of our loved ones and laid them to rest, I wish I had spent more time with my mother but I wasn't even there for her at the end and could only cradle her bones and lay her with the rest of our large and extensive family, I was the youngest of my siblings, I had my older brother Paul who worked the hardest out of everyone here and kept working all the way to his death. Eventually our town was blessed with a baby girl, our last hope for the future and she was named Ally. Ally's mother was a new mother who didn't know how to care for her new baby and it got close to losing her a few times, I used to sneak her into the kitchen and feed her pie sometimes.
It got to a stage where there was only four of us left, me, Paul, Melvin and Ally and three of us were already elderly, to keep the food supply up I split my time between looking after the dead and being the chef not the best combination of jobs and I can confirm all bodies stayed buried.
Finally Ally came of age but sadly lost her first two children very quickly, some souls aren't meant for this world but she managed to have another two babies while I was still alive, I was there to witness the start of the next generation after she gave birth to two baby girls, with this I have hope our town can continue as it has and I hope one day our gods will look down at me and send me back to my family to be born again, seeing the future as bright I stumbled to my graveyard and took my last breathes among the sleeping tombs of my ancestors, my life and job finally finished.
Do you know about yum? That is one of the key things in the current meta. Basically you want to eat each food ONCE then move on to the next food and do that for your whole life if you can. The more variety you get the bigger your bonus/multiplier gets allowing you to eat less and save resources.
I've had a few games and had heard about it and the craving system as well so I've been eating different stuff where I can
too much changed, and nothing for the better. last update was undoing something that never should of been done.
I play You are Hope on emulator. People are mostly bad, but not so toxic, and it's the old school working mechanics. They split before the bugs were repaired and they didn't take over all things, some good things like tables and wall storage, but they got their own set of things which are quite fun like big plates, new foods, water moats and torches, watering can, bunch of cool stuff.
Ah Pein you're still here! I wasn't sure I'd recognise anyone on the forums now, I did read bits and pieces about the not so great changes
Hi guys,
It's been a long long time since I last booted up the game and finally got the idea to play again but everything has most likely changed quite drastically to when I last played *checks notes* in 2018 so there is a lot that I've missed, all the new tech, what are people's tips on getting started in this again?
Turnipseed wrote:Genetics would be neat, but i feel its a waste of jasons time when he could be making content. I thought your point was spawning in adam eve pairs
By splitting characters up into physical parts and applying genetics to it you can make exponentially more character types than having to draw each and every person individually.
Think of it like those body flip books for kids where you exchanges hair and faces and body parts.
https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7XPC7uEaNxw/ … /Pages.jpgAdam & Eve spawns is also more fun than being an abandoned Eve baby.
if you ever played the old Creatures games then aside from the complicated genetic side of things, the visuals was completely like this
when I left them everyone was wearing seal skins after I went on a mad seal beating journey
I helped set up three eves yesterday, one of them was really amazing, me and my sister helped her set up an amazing camp but on all the other lives I saw yesterday the amount of /die was scary, in one village we walked about all holding baby bones
i hate selfish eves, like West just took a food i placed in swamp than bitched about a basket so i killed her later, if you cant afford a basket and a bowl for each of your kids than dotn even play as eve
so rather than killing any annoying person i just quit on them, at least go and find a spot and respect the kid minimally, not everyone is useless
no food/ middle of green biome/ too many females
sometimes i play as eve or eve kid than next life i don't want it, especially as female
i know for a fact that a lot of people try to get back to revenge/finish a project even if they got 0 % chance and some people just want to troll youmy favorite is still gen 2-3 when i decide locations and tools are mostly made
Pein were you an eve a little while ago? I was Owen Peinado born to an Eve and we had a lovely little spot in the desert
I wouldn't say I'm a seasoned player by any standards, took a long while away from the game and so much has changed when people ask I just say I'm new but help with what I do know, when I'm born to an eve I always, always help her because we really need to get more lineages on the map.
you all have valid points and are probably right about the people wanting the easy city life/big projects but being eve is exciting and you never know what could happen
so I've been trying for the longest time to start up an Eve village, today was the closest I've ever gotten in my life in the foundations of the Thorpe clan however suicidal babies are hindering me, I just really wanna thank the only player who stayed with me and built up our little place even though our future was doomed the moment both my daughters /die'd on me. Thank you Collin, when I checked our tree you weren't on there yet so I hope you live to the full 60 minutes as I did and thank you again for how much you helped build when you have only been playing for a week, it meant a lot to me.
now my question to the more experienced players, what is it that makes you decide to stay or leave an Eve? my camp was suitable and in a lovely food abundant position so is it a case of play style or maybe you just weren't feeling it?
I have to admit I have sometimes spawned in to crowded towns and just though "hell nah!" and hightailed it out of there as fast as my little legs would carry me.
when i posted my story yesterday I had wondered if there was a separate story thread but couldn't find one and just posted in the main forum, you are right though about it being cluttered though
I've been on the forums for awhile just lurking but this life felt interesting enough to me to write about.
since I lived that life I haven't been reborn back there so I hope both places are still going but I think when i last looked at the family tree all the silverthorns had died out from that family
this is a tale of one of my last lives, sometimes I live very mundane and uneventful lives but other times I find one that stays with me and makes me think about it...This was one of those lives.
I was born a baby boy to a woman named Samantha Silverthorn in a tiny settlement, as I was born my older brother Lason was visiting, my mother had six children before me and had one after me, surviving to adulthood there was only me, my big brother Lason, my big sister Freyja and and my younger sister Liza. When I was born my mother gave me a single snake skin boot.
My mother told me that she had been kicked out of the settlement south of us when she was still small and was trying to set up our camp by stealing supplies from the south and that when I was old enough I would have to do the same thing for the good of the camp, not something that me at the player would normally do but I found it an interesting plot point for this life.
the first thing I stole for my mother was a pie on a plate and I carried it back to camp like a filial son and she praised me but when I got there there were angry villagers from the south berating her.
I wanted to make my mother's life easier for her so I went out into the wilderness to collect materials so we could do things for ourselves and we wouldn't have to resort to stealing, I made myself a basket and collected things, I made some ovens for food and collected some carrot seeds for our farm and made my last theft from the south village of a single wheat seed so we could produce our own.
during one of my returns home from the wilderness my mother was bleeding and screaming at a woman, she screamed out at her that she had no choice and they were the ones that had abandoned her in the first place, her last words were to kill the woman. at the time and long after I believed my mother had been murdered and contemplated revenge but held back, we had been stealing from them for a long time, longer then I had been alive and all debts must be paid. I can only hope that my mother was proud of what I did with the camp that she started.
Shortly after mother died, Freyja came to the camp but died of starvation upon arrival...she had four children but none survived passed infancy.
I was now in my 20's, I found a discarded seal skin to the north and brought it back, fashioning it into a seal fur coat and while journeying west I found a knife lying between some trees, I found a patch of desert and killed a snake so I could have a pair of boots and used some left over wheat from making bread to make me a hat, I lived to 57 years and not once did I manage to wear a pair of trousers.
I continued my simple life now self sustaining, sometimes when I wasn't busy I would walk to the south village, there was a man named Nevah there, he was still there but very old. during one of my visits I noticed that no one was there anymore so I asked him what happened to everyone and he said that apart from me, there was only him and one other guy left, the last guy was called Edgar and he was busy building up the village while Nevah worked on the farms.
by my next visit the village was bustling again, there was a woman named Darah there who had three babies in quick succession and asked people to help name them all, I took one and named her Umi, she became Umi Silverthorn II...I was nearing the end of my long life and gave all my clothing to little Umi and wished her a good life, I told them my camp was to the north and that what was there was now theirs since there was nobody to take it over and then I returned home to die.
All in all I really enjoyed this life, it was really interesting to me and made me want to live as long as I could just so I could see the end result, after checking the family tree page I found out my mother hadn't been murdered but attacked by a wolf but its amazing how a scene can play out when you literally just walk in on it, whelp good thing I didn't try and take "revenge" on the south village people xD
I watched a lot of youtubers before I bought it and read up a lot because I didn't want to spawn and be a burden or accidentally destroy others hard work.
when I spawn as an Eve in the middle of nowhere I try to keep my babies alive because everyone deserves to play
as someone that does genealogy as a hobby this is a happy welcome update!
if you ever do start the family trees I'll be quite excited to see them
