I think the Guard should kill you if you pick them seed rows regardless if they picked yet. Is good law for the good of the tribe.
Seeds are rare, there is always a starving beggar with their excuses..

Seed Guard is good job for Guard minded people, also Well Guard is good position. I will try to become Well Master with a weapon to enforce prosperity..

It is my understanding that there are 10 types of key with 10 matching types of lock, there is no way
other to know what number key you have in your hand and there is no way to control what number
key you craft. Is this true?

If this is true I think it is good, cause no locks are permanent and it is sorta kinda possible to break into
things, I don't like the idea of permanent signs or locked doors that can not be changed/opened if you
try real hard smile. I hope the number of keys stays low enough that we have a decent shot at picking any
given lock.

Also some of the things added don't seem to have decay timers.

I ask them if they want to live or be part of our family.

I ask them if they want to help us, I show them around the town and I tell them
what I think isn't going right with the town and what we need to do about it. I ask
them if they have x skill and try to find something they can do they understand.
Failing that I tell them to be my apprentice.

Maybe just parenting the damn kids isn't such a horrible idea..

But I'm pretty sure it's right.  If you want to maintain exactly 20 people, there will be 20 people dying every hour, which means you need exactly 20 babies born during that hour to replace them.  When grandpa dies, a new baby is born.  So you cycle through 20 new people per hour to maintain your population.

This assumes that we all live to 60 which I doubt your data on our demographics shows. At the very least the cool-down will stop chain griefing so that is nice.

I think having larger biomes, like 10-20 times larger would help a lot as well, as it is the camps are using mixes of all of them getting the best of everything, would be cooler if the biomes were more different so we could have reasons for trading.

Well if you decide that someone else needs to die
unilaterally then I suppose it is silly to complain when
someone else does it to you right afterwards.

It think this story is ironic, perhaps when killing someone
for nonviolent offenses we should hold councils? Obviously
you have to kill the people running around killing people,
and if we don't want to be seen as those kind of people we
need to talk about it with the elders before we kill.

I would assume your baby death counter would reset every
new life you lived. If you keep having your babies die then
yes, you would get less and less babies, but it would still
give you babies before it Eved them unless you had already
born that player as your baby this life.

Better Moms will have more babies, that doesn't seem to be
a big problem to me. If you feed all your babies and you
are too poor to do so you will starve yourself out then you
can be a new person with new baby death counter. If you
lived to the threshold age for free birth(just being an Eve
only makes people kill themselves till they are Eve then
kill self once more) then you would have shot at rich
parents again.

Granted your odds of getting richer parents would be
increased because the poorer ones are more likely to starve
their children? I think I don't think that detail of data
exists even for Jason. He can't track EVERYTHING lol...

Doing better would increase your chances of an easier life
the next time, suicide would make things harder for you.
People function off incentives. If you want people to meta
game less then you gotta make meta gaming not pay off for
them. Most people wont follow rules that they think aren't
in their interest. Think of how often you speed, do drugs
or all of your other private sins.

I think if we can develop good well use culture that should be part of it. Each well is a water
every 5 min if we can manage them, that is basically a carrot plot what with harvest and pimping
and seeding time..

I taught a village to ping the wells once.. well some of them anyways. Maybe they will be more
prosperous. Any TRULY big city will need to use water better than we do currently. It is just hard
but it can be done so we can do it.

True dat You can keep decent kit in a backpack though, flint, sharp, round, needle leaves basket for food, but you need bow for strangers..

I think I would be bored with it by the 2nd or third time. Waiting periods also tend to generate afk people as well.
