Controversial opinion: oil rigs should never deplete.
The game would be balanced with infinite oil.
Shave your legs legs
It is 24 uses for 1 kero right?
I think IT CAN be useful but we need more Kerosene. It can till hardened rows right?. Assuming Kero wasn't an issue it would be good for any crop that leaves hardened rows as you wouldn't need as much compost. Plus not having to always replace hoes would eventually make up for the cost.
Irrigation could be nice as well. If it can water more then 1 plant at once that would mean having to pump less water.
I can't get in-game rn so lemme know if I'm wrong. I'm hoping for a more efficient method of getting Kerosene since we're getting more tech.
I'd be down for that, Might be difficult to maintain though. You just know griefers are going to target that shit. Might be nice long term to build radios in each airport, That way you guys can communicate and trade.
Ohh, Looks promising!
I do worry players will be hesitant to use this stuff due to the scarcity of kerosene. Depends how powerful this is, Will have to see in-game. Looks like multiple engines are needed, Seems like more Kero usage then just pumping and manual farming.
Anyway looks like it'll let us water and till an entire row at once. Not sure the limits just yet, How much can you plow/water at once?
I know some people had been asking for this update since 2018
You sure it's a wise decision to attract spoonwood?. I'm sure he will reply with an essay shortly.
Sounds like a good life, You could've made an Uncle grave instead.
It is quite jarring, There's a few technologies that should have more uses. We actually have electricity in the game but it's only used for one obscure item. Same with the engine to some extent.
We could get a few more baby items.
Dummies to disable baby speech.
Prams to carry multiple babies like a cart.
More toys like the rubber ball. A toy car, doll, blocks. Mostly rp items for babies to interact with.
I like that we'll be seeing more of the lesser used foods popping up in towns. Upgrade for tables is nice too, Crowded bakeries was always a big first world problem.
Personally looking forward to more tech, He mentioned oil byproducts recently. So I'm fairly certain next update will be that.

lol yea, now we need to be lot more careful what we say and suggest

but yea its great to have Jason more around here, and actually the forum is a funny game on its own and if we need some one to blame, we can just blame Spoonwood or Woodspoon or some one with spoon in his name.
By the way:
What is if Woodspoon is Spoonwood? What is if we would have a wooden spoon in game?
What is wood?

What would we do with our lives then?
how do we know maybe you are a girl?
Lol yeah, Buy my bathwater
Also we have curses to deal with griefers. Some of them go around it by buying extra accounts but there is a limit to how much one is willing to spend to grief and banning people has the same weakness
Auto ban anybody who does /devious. Problem solved
What if houses had roofs?
What if smooth roads made you walk slower?
What if the world was round?
The darkest timeline
How would I make the item?
In Photoshop or something?
Man, that would be a pain!
There are actually several items in the game that I designed with CAD first, and then I printed it out, and traced it. The railroad tracks and engine parts are examples of this. There's no way I would have gotten all those things to line up if I had just eyeballed it with no guide.
But it turns out that this is a VERY productive way to make "hand drawn, but exact" artwork. Example here:
Noticed you've been a bit more active on these forums recently. I appreciate that.
Jason added one item that wasn't hand drawn without telling us.
Spoonwood was popular
Everyone was a griefer
I was girl
What would we do with our lives then?
Did you have a successor. Issue with these things as they tend to fall througn after a generation or two.
Be nice if you smited a griefer just once though.
Nice necro Jason, Reported.
What the fug
not playing the game uses less water
Sorry but we don't understand your alien philosophy. These concepts are beyond humanity.
The rift?
No
A map similar to the real world with oceans, biomes etc and not infinite like currently?
Definitly yes
What benefit would that have over the rift?
Case for the rift
1: Easier to find other towns, Interactions happen more often.
2: Everything is impactful, You can't just migrate away from issues
3: Feasible use for "forgotten" tech like Engine drill, Plane to escape etc.
Case against rift
1: Opportunity for griefers to destroy/waste map resources on perpose.
2: You can't survive forever.
3: Being Eve is very rare, No escape from towns.
Your "tl;dr" was longer than the rest of your post. I feel like you don't know what tl;dr means.
I think maybe the first part was supposed to be the tl;dr
question...
Why has this game become a simulator of creating food?
This is not what is shown in the trailer !!!
I don't want to create more different types of food !!!
everything revolves around food !! it's stupid!
Are not going to generate more challenges ???
Does anyone else care about being forced to create different kinds of food for 60 minutes? Am I the only one who thinks this is boring?
My guess is because Jason has the most knowledge about food. As opposed to tech where he'd need to do a lot more research.
still waiting on literally any impactful content. after months.
Why?
Don't you have anything better to do.
Guy wrote:It's not good for anyone when you realize Jason adds alot of food items to the game. Content unused by the player isn't very efficient.
Do you have a suggestion how you would change the mechanics that exotic food becomes reasonable to make from time to time?
Well like I said, More incentive to do it. Generally speaking people find exotic foods and spices more exiting, Maybe bonus yum/pip retention for foods from different biomes.
The complex foods serve to better satisfy later generations. Complex items could also mean more organic specialization. One town could be successful focusing on making pickles and shipping them off to nearby cities.
Guy wrote:Maybe a few different events for variety. Great flood, Alien invasion, Demonic bear invasion, Spoonwood's criticism, My little pony invasion. You know, Pretty standard apocalyptic events.
actually the apocalyptic event would be a lack of Spoonwood's criticism, since it would create a kind of black hole...
I'm still trying to be realistic here. Can't just make up an impossible scenario and shoehorn it into the game.
Maybe Jason listening to spoonwood can be the event.
