nooo, it has so many drawbacks to gameplay, is impossible to test and adjust by sinlge person.
Factorio to this day has very unfair starting locations, due to the map generator nor caring for impassable terrain generation.
DontStarve has always had its issues with impassable terrain, usually shown as ocean, more recent vatiants of the game have sailboats and ferries and many smaller islands.
the general lesson here is, that any randomized/seeded mapgen with impassable terrain is automatically significantly less ballanced and less fair.
You will have more blitzkrieg-like or easily defended-fortress-like scenarios a la Termophilae, Hannibal, consantinople.
where ever passable terrain is funneling significantly, ranged strategies are overpowered.
i saw something much less fair, a "wallhack".
i murdered someone and was hiding with bloddy bow behind a tree, for a while, with noone in far distance, it was a good hiding spot.
someone with knife comes just to that tree and knifes me, he knew where i was, wallhack style.
i say "how?"
he say "small trees addon"
i say "thanks" and "hax".
sure, you can change transparency of trees with some easy edit, its just tricky to fuind the right textures.
you should not expect fairness in such an opensource game.
tarr was op, killing people with snowbnalls.
i whitnessed (something like) this. neasr a crowded freplace, many people standing on the same tile.
surely not a snow biome, just a small snow pile sw.
peace pipe tobacco for inter-tribal meetings?
in this game, many people murder any twin, because twins have a tendency to go rouge.
sure most people murder foreigners for all they got.
if you meet a foreign city, yopur fate is to be the ourskirt murderer, once or twice, and then return to base to report.
fina was larger than 3 cities most of the time.
the 3 central cities jist had roads.
theres many cities sonorth and east of fina mainland, marked by cut trees and death
.
currently east of fina is inhabited hy "shin" and "storm" eat of fina is a constant war zone with a lot of wealth and shorter lifes.
but it was iorbited by roughly ten more cities, many of them did have pathzs between them.
england was a tribe of idiots, lead by a dumb eve.
i regretted giving thenm kindling and rope when they needed it most, they most likely would have died out without me before making any steel stuff.
i met a similar noob town later, they totally deserved the eight bears that i lured to them, in groups of tto to three. no rope, no kindling, same deal.
2 of them somehow managed to kill 6 of 8 bears with bows.
but half of them where just scared shitless idios, who made a conscious choice to starve to death in a base full fo food and bears.
the fina towns are still inhabited now, neither by fina, nor by england. name not noted, as i was killed by a lone ignorant fool.
i once was born to to a dumb short lived eve, and decided to just walk straight northwest, where a bell rang , fourthousand far, i found three very old ruins, where only rhe road remainedm no wall, no animals, no wood, nothin but some road tiles to where yopu would build oilpumps and wells, and oddly a LOT of ropeweed all over near the road. so it seems that ropeweed respawns, it may just take a few days (a full cycle of eve spawns, as i may have entered an inner much older ring of spawns), and by then all but roads decays.
i found a horse casrt and rode further northeast.
and i found fina central towns, fourthousand northeast of where i was born to a dumb eve.
the fina had a constant 20 fertiles for about five hours. spread over 5 populated cities, and 5 nearby ruins, with significant road networks between them, and a lot of "literature" spread all over.
the england tribe was one of the dumbest tribes ever, to a point where i was the reason it ever managed to get any horse before diing without any fire.
it managed to not search or farm ropes, while completely running out of axes and kindling, sop they had null fire for thirty minutes.
i made kindling in the england tribe for a whole life, once i gathered rope on foot, and it was just dull dumb shit, compared to the awesome that fina tribes did.
you never know what the noobs that you assist rise up to.
the england tibe apparently was north of fina and managed to kill two thirds of it, whom what i could see.
i killed one england player as fina player.
i was more a scout at the time.
fina seems to have spread too thinly, which weakened birth rates.
simple lesson, just should have build a bow instead, noob tribes must die before they turn hostile.
do not give idiots too much kindling, they likely end up makinjg a lot of war blades from it.
nope, the fina live. not sure if its an imitator eve, but its back .
was 20 fertiles for 5 hours, then only 3 fertiles for 2 hours. its back up to 12 fertiles.
get born, walk three k, kill one or two, die, this is normal gameplay for many now.
belöls were buidl people know large maps.
babies die young.
you raid a city, but they defend well, then you get born into the defending family, and have a choice to raid the same way back.
i just jined my second baby war, this time the dfistance is much shorter. one tribe managed to acpture and decimate 5 other villages.
five.
and babies that get born say

no. finding ruins (after a server whipe) is easy, once you foind two, you find dozens.
currently all eves spawn on a horizontal line, further and further east.
i once spawned to a dumb eve, just walked west, found a ruin with a horse, anr rode west for 1500m, found a village, toild them that eves spawn east at that distqance now.
aa griefer killed me , made the lame excuse of me being foreign.
his bad lick was that i instantly was reborn in his village, they lacked arrows due to him griefing, and the 2 bears north where already close, so half of them died, and i laughed watching that.
the city survived this well, i spawned in it hours later.
its the 2 cites with as long jungle road between them., "tree"? family?
the notes there read this information
"eves spawneast"
and othert notes about just exploring east and building roads east, and pride of starting a road to see it finished.
the "love" city is big ruins, that i keep riding into many times, but i fail to find any live nearby, and i tried to repopulate it, but dumb players see a ruin and get suicidal, or i just get three boys.
We NOW have a string of ruins from west to east, at least twothousand tiles long, many of them are connected by roads and markings.
the average distance between them is 250 tiles, though that depends on biomes, intelligence, circumstance.
its very eadsy to grab a shovel and a froie to make many single fence-posts from west to east.
this way horses do not get stranded as easily.
you basically buils a pony-express-path, and usually find an old players corpse and horse at one if its stops (or you just steal horses and hide them nearby)
lineages are irrelevant, just have eves die of old age and have players not act suicidal when they get born into ruins.
yes, game mechanics make this a valid strategy, infiltrate, incite paranoya, espionage and avenge, in favor of whatever your agenda is.
if ANY base is too dumb to farm ropes in ANY way, and instead only get berries, ou must kill them all, or else many more babies will suffer this newbie situation.
i once whitnessed a genocide at age 3, managed to build two arroes, and kill two people who did it, and seeing a total of 7 corpses in town by the time i was 24 years old, while raising two kids, surropunded by death.
both of my dauthers where not smart enough to cope with this mildy depressing situation though. not my choice there.

Then we make baby pie
one female was riding a horse, searching for oil, finding oil, and boulding an oil pump.
i was nearby and whitnessed her being interrupted by two births.
she told me anyways, and i responded.
with added context; "i saw you give birth, twice, with a horse, building oil"
more precisely i responded in a witty context (we both kew what happened)
"i saw you, make baby oil, twice"
and then she regretted not calling her babies "you are baby oil"
not in a backpack, thats messy, i usually keep arrows and sharp stones in there.
but how about one person, of any age, takes up two slots in a cart.
you can put one or two people into a wooden ccart or horse cart.
as for morality, this game initially parodies the old testament, and thats already just pathethic in terms of modern society standards and copmmon sense.
thankfully it then becomes more of a "walten" Henry-David-Thorough-analogy, where you can live as semi-heremite near a lake and ponder about pacifism, and somehow can build an airplane.
its a very abstract game after all, have fun with your roleplaying of vendettas, its usually all that remains longer than the ruins in this game.
by worst you mean best?
i was the four year old in the blue shirt on depature , was twentytwo on arrival, almost died of old age and quickly got reborn twice in the central fort.

i had no clue theere was a youtuber and i have not seen his video and PoV.
the "war babies" (i kinda coined the term for the absurdity of the situation) had a choice, to make perfectly fine settlements and roads and markings along the way instead.
by the time we were 12, and only 5 of us with weapons, half of them could have build a siege outpost instead.
we marched by a few perfectly fine base spots during 18 minutes of walking by foot.
the game has one issue here though, babies coult not communicate much aout any such plan and adults mostly improvised the situation.
what the video and screenshots show is an interesting group dynamic, the game shows a very strong will to not be alone, that often ends in suicidal behavior, unless you want to seed an outpost for rope.
radish went to war with 5, they brought three swords and one knife, it was close to max carrying capacity on depature, and roughly half of the village population depatured to never return, but to fight and live elsewere.
fun part was the 2 fertile females from the start and one early daughter born, she got to wield the knife on arrival.
the main purpose of the war chanting was to know whwere everyone of the growing constantly pregnant asnd constantly moving groups is, so that people do not get lost.
it was a seventen minute walk, starting with a group of 5, ending with a group of 12.
and it was a one sided bloodbath.
i was the blue shirt boy:
https://onehouronelife.com/forums/viewt … 794#p64794
before the massive resets of bigserver2 on 15th juni 2019; a 1720 march of 5 people woth 4 swords and 1 knife ended up as 12 people army on arrival, and in a baby boom atop a blood bath.

radish VS toogood raids:
i know the toogood family well, its a very agressive tribe with no focus for famring, its a hunter clan.
i get born into the [radish] family as male and whitness a griefer murder at age 0, who aparently killed many of the radish family.
i inherit his last victims blue shirt, which became my identifying mark, and are given a sword.
by age 3, half of the village decides to "go to war" and mobilizes a group of 5, roughly half the family population;
Two women, one very young girl, [azazel radish] as leader, and i just role play a naive 3 year old male warmonger toddler, who just witnessed a murder and a warmongering family.
I have little context, so i just (role) play along.
I see half of my village decide to take 4 swords, giving swords to 3 year olds, to march BY FOOT to raid a city, 1720 tiles WWN
But [azatel radish] never toold us about the distance, only about a general direction with determination.
With one early birth, we start as group of 6, but because half of them is now females, we end up as a group of 12 by the time we arrive at our destination.
the journey took 18 years/minures of nearly continuous marching in the same direction, and 3 females caused the army size to double during that time:
we have 4 swords, and the babies, who where born in this march had the main purpose of making baskets to carry food,
with a promising future as human shield canonfooder, to maybe live long enough to pick up some weapon.
the oldest girl is given a knife, all other "war babiers" mostly end up making baskets so we require shorter food breaks.
We kept shouting the same few custom phrases To not lose track of the group "to war, babies" "for the alamo" "one for all"
"where are we going", "how much longer wdo we walk?" and "are we there yet?"
Morale was very high, we managed to stay together and not lose people. i did not see any infant suicide and always acounted for everyone.
The raid march lasted from my 4th year till my 22th year of age, 18 years well spend taking care that the group stays together, marching.
6 players had their whole puberty during a long march west, with barely any breaks for food or underwater basket weaving, and constant "war" chanting.
Only 2 of us had any clear target, and my goal was mostly to keep an eye for the slowest to not get stranded.
Age 22 we reach the big central city, the only one that had a radio reciever and transmitter at one point.
the city that constantly rang the bell on bigserver2.
>10 total deaths in the first city raid, the [radish] family decimated all strangers of the toogood-family that dared to stay in the city.
We sang the lalala lululu vicroty song, surrounded by bloddy corpses.
I suppose [azazel radish] was the leader of the whole raid, and crowned king of the taken over central city of bigserver2.
I was too young and too busy staying fed to care much for all the names of the raid.
6 more deaths during the next 20 minutes, conflicts with people who escaped, we knew they ran south, i know 2 bases south.
I tried to scout them, but failed to correcctly remember the location of all the outposts near that city.
I only managed to find it alone ony my second scouting, and not while leading a group of 5, and by then it was too late to be useful.
The other easily held the fortress, with a now big family and a lot of klooted knifes.
I die of starvation age 57, after hunting a vengeful intruder to death, who just ran deep into the fort on his own.
i got reborn twice into the radish family inside the central city.
but the last time i starved while fleeing grom a raiding party of 5 east of the city.
i was just too young to fight and live long without food at the moment.
at least i managed to warn them. they should have defended easily.
they just made me flee too far.
how about a wooden 1-tile-basement door for better food storage, fermentation, cheese making, or a lockable private treasury.
how about wall-mounted shelf storage space for vertical and horizontal walls?
Could be an incentive to build walls.
needs a minimum age to reach the higher up storage spaces on a wall, so lottle timmy can not reach the bleach.
or can be used to torture people. with wall mounted shackles.
