On a somewhat unrelated note, Jk Howling's story reminds me of a question I always wanted to ask:
Does curse score only count for one twin or for both?
If it's only for one twin, then I feel like that would make it effectively harder to curse a griefer to 10 tokens, since the group would effectively need 20.
I've found that the most obvious griefers are those that have little game knowledge and often easily antagonize people around them. I assume that's probably due to wanting more infamy. I think the reason most griefers grief is at least in partway due to their frustrations about the crafting system, meaning that relative ease of destruction is more tempting then actually putting some work into the game and learning how to be a better player.
The griefers that I'm more frustrated with are those that have a wealth of in-game knowledge and know which actions can be performed in a village to slowly sap the critical resources in a village while pulling out the "I'm a beginner card."
In either case, I've found the best solution for griefers is to have consistent communication with others in the village about any sort of suspicious actions and making sure that sterile pads and needles w/ thread are available with a few emergency meds hidden elsewhere around the map in case of a murder. For overt griefing, such as bloody knife, snowballing or baby-kidnapping, disseminating information about the killer or kill method allows for more players to survive while you go around and search for a weapon or someone with a weapon (also useful for bear-based griefing).
There was also one time where I had a griefer pair try to frame me for killing all the sheep, but I persisted in trying to clear my name and even helped with getting more sheep, which was fun.
(If nothing else, when griefers kill you, I find that not giving them the satisfaction of angry typing but instead typing "lol" or something similar annoys them.)
