Hi,
I bought this game on the website a long time ago, and when it came out on steam I was provided a steam copy at no charge.
Now I want to buy my friend a copy as a present and I was hopping to get him the DRM free version from the website, but I mostly play the steam version now, will he also be able to get the steam version if I buy it off the website like I was able to, or was that only a courtesy for people who purchased the game previously to the game being released on steam?
I would like to be able to play with him through steam, but I know the type of person he is he will end up having fun playing around with the DRM free version, setting up unofficial servers, modding ect...
If anyone knows the answer please let me know, Thankyou!
