I left not long after the apocalypse update. Closer to early/mid April. Ive slinked around on the forums from time to time but played today for the first time in months because I wanted to see how the tamed goose mechanic worked since it was really close to my chicken idea, I was proud I lived to 28 since EVERYTHING is so different
So catch me up! What's the important bits now? How are some of the new crops managed, obtained, and renewed. I know carrots will eat soil now, and wheat can as well. But now that civilizations seem to be booming again somewhat, I think I might be able to play again. (I've never been a good Eve)
Its the billing information. Anytime you purchase something online you need to provide this info. No one can see this info after you purchase it other than the person who sold you the product
It's now been added to the One Hour One Life Suggestions on Reddit. I changed it a little bit and edited my above suggestion.
It would keep whole cities from just living off of eggs. Maybe even eventually make it to where you added eggs to a bowl of wheat to make bread?
I had a dream last night that Jason put chickens in the game, they were found in Grasslands. To tame a chicken, you had to feed it corn (which was added with the chicken update).
Corn was grown in a similar fashion as milkweed. You could find it growing wild, and it had the same 3 stages. You had to wait until the corn grew cobs to harvest them or they wouldn't grow back (2 ears grew per stalk). You could then add the corn to a skewer and roast over coals for food, or you could hit it with a knife (or a sharp stone) to get corn kernels.
You add the kernels to a bowl and you feed that to the chicken and it would tame it allowing you to pick it up. You could then carry it to a pen, like you would with sheep. It would lay a certain amount of eggs (say like 5) before it becomes a hungry chicken and would need fed again. The eggs could be put in a bowl of simmering water and you would have a cooked egg that can then be eaten.
There could be some mechanic added to get more chickens you would have to find and tame a wild rooster and add that to your flock. You would then need to build a nest for the chicken with a bundle of straw and a round stone and then place 1 egg in the nest. You would then place a hen on the nest and she would be occupied on the nest for 5 minutes. She would then hatch the egg and become a hungry chicken. She would need fed again to start laying and her chick would need fed to become an adult.
Chickens could also be killed for food like a goose. If you killed a rooster you would then have a feather that could be added to arrows.
I was so excited that when I got up I checked the updates and was so sad that it was a dream. I would love for this to become an actual mechanic.
